Urban Gardening Projects

There are a number of urban gardening projects on the Tempelhof Field focused on growing crops, communal gardening and as communal space to connect and cooperate. Allmende Kontor is a communal gardening project established during the first round of projects in 2010/2011 with a project running time until the end of 2027. Allmende is the German word for ‘commons’ or ‘commoning’ signifying the concept of shared space and resources. Allmende Kontor includes raised beds and gardening structures as communal gardening and contact spaces.
